If you are fed up with the unreliability and expense of the old Land Rover 4.0 / 4.6 engines, this is for you.  Here at Trailhead 4x4 we offer engine replacement packages for the Discovery Series 2 using the LS based 4.8 and 5.3 GM Vortec engines. Our conversion differs from others in that it retains functionality of every system on the Discovery 2.  This means that when you drive your re-powered Discovery home, you still have your air conditioning, your ABS, Traction Control, and Hill Decent Control systems still work, your electronically controlled transmission is still happy to do its job, and you don't have a dashboard full of warning lamps.  What you will also notice on your drive home is your Discovery is now much more enthusiastic about responding to throttle input!  The robust nature of these LS based truck engines lends perfectly to this application, and instills more confidence in your power plant than the old Rover V8 ever could.
